Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) campaign, an anti-drug awareness program was organized for the students of Shakti Residential School and Shakti Pre-University College at Shaktinagar. Mangalore.
The program was inaugurated by Mr.Mithun H.N., IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Mangaluru City. Addressing the students, he said that various anti-social activities continue to target and mislead the younger generation into harmful habits. He emphasized that creating awareness about the dangers of drugs among children has become more important than ever and congratulated the management of Shakti Educational Institutions for organizing such an initiative.
He urged students to understand the severe consequences of drug abuse from a young age. Smoking, alcohol consumption, gutka, and other addictive substances have a harmful impact on physical health and can prevent individuals from achieving their dreams and life goals. He encouraged every student to take a pledge never to fall victim to addiction or bad habits.
He further advised students to report any drug-related illegal activities they come across to the police without fear. He assured them that the police are there to safeguard the well-being of the public and maintain social order. If anyone pressures or encourages them to use addictive substances, they should firmly refuse. Students were reminded not to sacrifice their future for temporary pleasure but to understand the difference between right and wrong, become responsible citizens, and contribute positively to society.
He said that everyone should have a clear goal in life and work toward building a better society. Referring to the Central Government’s Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative, he explained that schools should organize activities such as preparing anti-drug posters, essay writing, street plays, song writing, and drawing competitions to spread awareness. He concluded by urging everyone to lead a healthy life and work towards creating an addiction-free society.
Later, Mr.Arun, a police officer, Vamanjoor Police Station, addressed the gathering. He stressed that schools must educate children about the dangers of drugs. Once a person becomes addicted and gets involved in anti-social activities, they may face legal punishment. He advised students to consider their parents as their role models and strive for success in life. With determination and strong willpower, they should stay away from the trap of drugs.
He also warned that even minors below the age of 18 can face legal action if they are found to be involved in drug-related activities. He said that the police department works tirelessly to maintain law and order and appealed to everyone to cooperate with the police in building a progressive nation. He encouraged students to avoid breaking the law and lead meaningful, responsible lives free from addiction.
During the program, Kannada teacher Sharanappa sang an awareness song on the theme “Building an Addiction-Free Society”, inspiring students about the importance of staying away from substance abuse.
An interactive session was also held, during which the officials answered questions from the students.
Among those present were Dr. K.C. Nayak, Founder of Shakti Educational Institutions; Ramesh K., Principal Advisor; Pradeep Kumar Shetty, Principal of Shakti Pre-University College; and Dr. Surekha R. Bhat, Principal of Shakti Residential School.

ನಶಾ ಮುಕ್ತ ಭಾರತದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ವಿರೋದಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ
ಶಕ್ತಿನಗರದ ಶಕ್ತಿ ರೆಸಿಡೆನ್ಸಿಯಲ್ ಶಾಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಕ್ತಿ ಪಪೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಶಾ ಮುಕ್ತ ಭಾರತದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ವಿರೋದಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ನಗರ ಪೋಲೀಸ್ ಉಪ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು (ಕಾನೂನು ಮತ್ತು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ) ಮಿಥುನ್ ಹೆಚ್ ಏನ್ ಐಪಿಎಸ್ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಶ್ಚಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿಸಿ ಯುವ ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಲೆ ಇವೆ. ಈಗಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಇದೆ. ಆ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಶಕ್ತಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು.
ಚಿಕ್ಕ ವಯಸ್ಸಲ್ಲಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ದುಷ್ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತೆ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಧೂಮಪಾನ, ಮದ್ಯಪಾನ, ಗುಟ್ಕಾ ಎಲ್ಲವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ದೈಹಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತೆ ಇದರಿಂದ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಕಂಡ ಕನಸು, ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತಲುಪಲು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದಿರಬಹುದು, ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ವ್ಯಸನಗಳಿಗೆ ದುಶ್ಚಟಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾನು ಬಲಿಯಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಶಪಥ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿ ದು?ರ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಯುವುದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಬಹುದು. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂಧಿಗಳು ಇರೋದು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕ್ಷೇಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಜದ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ದುಶ್ಚಟಗಳ ಸೇವನೆಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ. ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆದರಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಕೇವಲ ಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸುಖದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬಾಳನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿ. ಯಾವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೇದು ಯಾವುದು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದು ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗುರಿ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿರಲಿ. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದು ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅಜಂಡಾ ಆಗಬೇಕು. ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರಕಾರ ಇಂದು ನಶಾ ಮುಕ್ತ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ತಂದಿದೆ ಅದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಫಲಕಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರು ಮಾಡುವ, ಪ್ರಬಂಧ ಬರೆಯುವ, ಬೀದಿನಾಟಕ ಮಾಡುವ, ಹಾಡು ಬರೆಯುವ ಚಿತ್ರ ಬರೆಯುವ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಕೊನೆಯದಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಬದುಕೊಣ. ವ್ಯಸನ ಮುಕ್ತ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡೋಣ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ವಿರಾಮ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ನಂತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದ ವಾಮಂಜೂರು ಆರಕ್ಷಕ ಠಾಣಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಆಗಬೇಕು. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ದುಶ್ಚಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಮಾಜ ಘಾತಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಕಾನೂನಿನಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ತಾಯಿಯರನ್ನೇ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆದರ್ಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ. ದೃಢವಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಬೀಳದಿರೋಣ. 18 ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಡ್ರಗ್ಸ್ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ಸಾಬೀತಾದರೆ ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಕಾಯಕವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಒಂದು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪಥದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲು ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಎಷ್ಟು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೋ ಅಷ್ಟು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆದ? ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸೋಣ. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ತುಂಬಾ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಈ ದುಶ್ಚಟಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗದೆ ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮದಾಗಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ವಿರಾಮ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಶರಣಪ್ಪ ವ್ಯಸನ ಮುಕ್ತ ಸಮಾಜ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಜಾಗೃತ ಗೀತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂವಹನ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.
